Ayoze Perez is apparently ‘one step away’ from joining Tottenham Hotspur in a £25 million move.

CalcioNapoli24 report the Spaniard is on the verge of becoming a replacement for Erik Lamela at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The attacker’s stock is high at the moment after an impressive finish to the 2018/19 season.

Perez made some sizeable contributions for the Magpies and helped keep them in the Premier League for the second successive season.

His efforts have seemingly placed him in the shop window though, with Napoli also said to be keen.

Perez signed for Newcastle back in 2014 for just £1.5 million from Tenerife (The Daily Mail), and has made almost 200 appearances for the Toon Army.

The star, who has also been linked with Arsenal, could now be set to move on as he approaches his prime years.

Some really rate him, but others find him too inconsistent.
