Newcastle fans praise Martin Dubravka despite Crystal Palace defeat
Newcastle United were beaten away to Crystal Palace in the Premier League – but some of the club’s supporters on Twitter did find some positivity from the display of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
The Magpies suffered a 1-0 defeat on Saturday afternoon and it means they still seven points above the relegation places in the league table.
Steve Bruce’s side managed just two shots on target as they struggled going forward, while defensively they were put under quite a lot of pressure.
Patrick van Aanholt did score the winner at the end of the first-half with his powerful free-kick, but Newcastle’s players should be thanking teammate Dubravka that it wasn’t more goals.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media praised Dubravka for his contribution at the weekend and claim he was the standout individual.
The 31-year-old once again came to the rescue for his team with a couple of excellent reflex saves, but he couldn’t do much with the set-piece goal.
He is one of the most consistent performers on a weekly basis within the team and kept his standards high once again during a difficult trip to London.
The Slovakia international has the quality to play for one of the top teams in the Premier League and proved it once again over the weekend.
