Newcastle fans positive about Miguel Almiron despite Crystal Palace loss
Newcastle United were beaten 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace on Tuesday – but some of their fans on Twitter were extremely upbeat about the performance of Miguel Almiron.
The Magpies suffered a narrow loss at St James’ Park yesterday in the Premier League fixture.
Despite Jonjo Shelvey’s opening goal in the opening two minutes for the hosts, Palace turned the game around with two first-half goals to ultimately gain three points.
It means that Steve Bruce’s side are now 16th in the league standings, but do have a strong eight-point cushion above the relegation spots.
Newcastle were unable to build upon their weekend victory against Everton and next they host a Southampton team that were annihilated 9-0 by Manchester United on Tuesday.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media gave huge credit to £42,000-a-week star Almiron despite another loss, suggesting he’s starting to show more confidence.
The 26-year-old was deployed in the attacking position just behind striker Callum Wilson, which appears to be a role that really suits him.
He’s a real favourite due to the work-rate and commitment he puts in every game, but this position makes him more involved in the attacking third and he just needs to try add more end product.
Here are some Newcastle fans discussing the attacker’s latest display:
