Newcastle fans on Twitter beg defender Fabian Schar to never leave

Fabian Schar is back with Newcastle United for pre-season – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have begged him to remain at St James’ Park.

The 26-year-old posted “back on track” on his official Twitter account, as he makes a return to training with the Magpies.

A wave of Newcastle supporters on social media have responded to him and are keen for him to stay for the long-term.

Manager Rafael Benitez has already exited this summer, while they have also lost the main source of their goals.

Salomon Rondon has departed following the end of his loan spell from West Brom, while playmaker Ayoze Perez has completed his move to Leicester City.

According to the Sun, there could be an exodus from St James’ Park this summer and Perez was listed as one of five players that could depart.

The report detailed that Schar is one having doubts over his Newcastle future and that he would listen to an approach for him.

A selection of Newcastle supporters want to see Schar at the club next season and view him as a key player.

The Switzerland international was a consistent performer in the defence last season and is a ball-playing centre-back that is extremely composed in possession.

He chipped in with four goals in 28 games across all competitions last season and become renowned for his some trademark dribbles forward from defence.
