Miguel Almiron played in the first-half in a mid-season friendly against CSKA Moscow on Saturday – and many Newcastle United fans on Twitter were impressed with his performance.
The Magpies played the Russian club in a non-competitive fixture, where manager Rafael Benitez decided to name two completely different teams for each half.
Newcastle earned a 1-1 draw with Salomon Rondon’s goal cancelled out by an Abel Hernandez strike.
Almiron was part of the XI that took to the field for the first period and supporters got a chance to look at their £20million (BBC) January signing in action.
The left-footed attacker made his competitive debut off the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League last weekend and looked a bright spark.
He showed against CSKA that he’s a speed machine that likes to dribble forward on the ball and can inject some quality in the final third.

Almiron, 25, could have had an assist when he set-up Mo Diame after a mazy run, but his teammate fired over the bar.
The Paraguay international previously dazzled in the MLS and will now be hoping he can do the same at St James’ Park in England, and the early signs are positive.
Here are some Newcastle fans that were impressed with Almiron in Saturday’s friendly:
