Newcastle United youngster Tom Allan made his first-team debut on Tuesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter raved about his performance.
The Magpies beat League One opponents Rochdale 4-1 at St James’ Park in an FA Cup third round replay.
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce decided to give Allan his senior debut in midweek and he entered the action in the 57th minute.
The right-winger caught the eye with a lively cameo, which included a low driven cross to assist centre-forward Joelinton for his goal.
He’s been a key player in the Under-23s side this campaign and got his first chance to show his talents around the first-team.
Allan, 20, is a speed machine with an eye for goal and he didn’t look out of place when introduced to the action in the cup.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media were left hailing Allan for his display and believe that he could have a bright future.
The dazzling wide player will hope for more first-team opportunities in the near future and perhaps the fourth round tie against League One Oxford at the end of January present the perfect chance.
