Newcastle fans hail Callum Wilson after strikes nets in Fulham draw
Newcastle United fans have again lavished praise on Callum Wilson, after the striker scored against Fulham last night.
The England striker notched his eighth goal of the season against the Cottagers, as the Magpies drew 1-1 with the newly promoted side.

It was another poor collective performance from the hosts, who now have three extremely tough league fixtures coming up in Manchester City away and Liverpool and Leicester City at home.
Fulham went ahead in the match when Matt Ritchie turned into his own net on 42 minutes.
In the second-half, Wilson equalised from the penalty spot after there was some controversy about the way he won the spot-kick.
Contact started from outside the box, with the 28-year-old then delaying going down until he was in the area, prompting Graham Scott to send Joachim Anderson off.
Match of the Day pundits Jermaine Jenas and Alan Shearer were in agreement that it should not have been a penalty.

Wilson may not have covered himself in any glory winning the penalty, but he made no mistake from 12 yards for his eighth goal of the season.
Wilson didn’t have the best service at St. James’ Park, but did win eight out of his 12 duels, and also completed two out of three dribbles (Sofascore).
Ultimately he’s in the team to score goals though, and some fans were left wondering where their team would be without him:
#BRUCEOUT Still absolutely livid about the performance again last night… absolutely shocking! Bruce is setting us up so negatively it’s unreal and Wilson is the only reason we aren’t down next to sheff United. Honestly can’t watch us anymore it’s that bad! #NUFC

Wilson is easily one of the signings of the season. #NUFC

If it wasnt for VAR and Callum Wilson we would easily be in the bottom three this season no doubt about it #NUFC

@AyozePG was even better value for money, arguably one of our best pound for pound signings ever.
Point taken though, Wilson is so likeable and is quality.

If you take away Wilson’s goals and assists this season we’d be 3rd bottom on 8 points… #NUFC

Brucey must thank his lucky stars every day that #nufc got Wilson. Dead in the water without him.

Embarrassing yet again from @NUFC against 10 men newly promoted Fulham. If we didnt have Callum Wilson we’d be in deep trouble. #nufc #bruceout

Not good enough, that was supposed to be a reaction to the Leeds game as well. Scraping a 1-1 against a team that’ll probs be relegated. No attacking impetuous against 11 or 10 men🤦🏻♂️
Thank god we have Wilson (what a player btw considering how we play). #nufc— NJQ (@NicholJQuinn) December 19, 2020
Imagine if Wilson actually got some service? He’d have 30 goals by now. Bagsman.

We’d be absolutely screwed without Wilson and a boat load of dodgy decisions 😴 #Nufc
