Newcastle United recored a dramatic 3-2 victory over West Ham on Saturday – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter hailed their star Matt Ritchie for his performance.
The Magpies jumped up to 15th in the Premier League table with a victory that means they are nine points above the relegation places.
Steve Bruce’s side cruised into half time with a two-goal margin. Issa Diop’s own goal, and Joelinton close-range finish gave them the advantage, plus Craig Dawson was also sent off for the visitors at St James’ Park.
But 10-man West Ham levelled the game in the second period with goals from Issa Diop and Jesse Lingered.
Fortunately, Newcastle substitute Joe Willock came off the bench to score the winner in the 82nd minute.
It leave the Toon well clear of the relegation zone now, and they look like they’ll be playing Premier League football again next season after finding some form.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media believe Ritchie was influential for them.
The 31-year-old left wing-back has helped his side pick up seven points from three games since being drafted back into the starting XI.
He is an all-action wide player that has so much enthusiasm, energy and passion, which makes him a massive favourite with supporters.
