Newcastle United defender Ciaran Clark is reportedly attracting interest from Crystal Palace – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter don’t want him sold.
According to the Sun, Palace are preparing a move for the centre-back and he would cost around £5million.
It is understood that Palace boss Roy Hodgson needs to decide whether to target the 29-year-old for a loan or permanent move.
The report details that Newcastle manager Steve Bruce will need to weigh up if he can afford to lose the Irishman from his squad at St James’ Park.
Clark was not a regular in the Magpies team last season and he managed just 14 games across all competitions, chipping in with three goals.
But he is a reliable left-footed defender that stepped in well when required and has plenty of experience at top-flight level.

A selection of Newcastle supporters on social media have stated that the club should keep Clark, as he’s an important member of the first-team squad.
The centre-back has been involved in pre-season games, but it will be intriguing to see if Palace decide to step up their interest as they search for a centre-back.
