Newcastle United fans have been reacting to reports of loan interest in Florian Lejeune from Deportivo Alaves.
According to Chronicle Live, the central defender is a target for the Spanish outfit, who took striker Joselu off the Magpies’ hands last summer.

Steve Bruce is ready to sanction the Frenchman’s temporary exit, so the player can get regular minutes in 2020/21.
Lejeune made just 11 appearances in all competitions last season, with injury once again preventing him from having an extended run in the starting XI.
It’s been the story of his time at Newcastle after joining the club for a reported £8.7 million back in 2017 (Sky Sports).
The 29-year-old – who earns £38,000-a-week (Spotrac) – has injured both ACLs as a Newcastle player, meaning he’s been able to make just 46 appearances in total for the Toon Army.

Fans on social media have been reacting to Lejeune looking set to leave on loan.
The reaction has been fairly mixed, with some arguing that Lejeune, when fully fit, is one of the best defenders at the club and should not be leaving, and others suggesting he needs to rediscover his best form elsewhere:
