Newcastle United posted a clip of Eddie Howe in his first training session on Tuesday – and Toon fans love something he told the Newcastle squad.

Howe, 43, has delighted Newcastle fans throughout the day. It began with images of Howe arriving at the ground before 7am, with his team.

The ex-Bournemouth gaffer is clearly looking to make the most of the time he has with Newcastle’s players, before the end of the international break.

Newcastle take on struggling Brentford in 10 days. Howe will be looking to get off to a winning start against a struggling, newly-promoted team.

The Toon posted a clip of the ex-Bournemouth gaffer in action. Authortative in his actions and orders, he was more than involved. Man-management.

During the clip, Howe criticises the squad – telling the players that there are some “stood still” and that being stood still is “no good”.

What are Newcastle fans saying, as Howe lays it on the line?

The overall reaction to the clip is enormously positive. Newcastle fans are delighted to have a manager that is actually coaching his players.

One of many criticisms of Bruce is that his players had little idea what they were supposed to do on the weekend. A lack of instruction in training.

That will not be a problem with Howe in charge. He looked to make it as clear and demanding as possible, in what was his first session.

Newcastle fans are loving what Howe told the Toon players in the clip, with one fan saying he needs that quote “on a t-shirt”.
