Newcastle United have already got their first signing of the summer on board, and chances are they’ve only just got started.
On Thursday, the Magpies announced the signing of Lloyd Kelly on a free transfer once his Bournemouth contract comes to an end.
Newcastle are now expected to look at strengthening the right wing amid Miguel Almiron‘s uncertain future at St James’ Park.

Chelsea’s Noni Madueke linked with Newcastle
i Sport are reporting that Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise is on the Magpies’ radar, but he’s not the only one in the running.
Newcastle are said to also looking at Chelsea attacker Noni Madueke, a player who could leave if the Blues get their hands on Olise first.
The report describes Madueke as a ‘viable alternative’ to Olise, who the Magpies have reportedly made contact over in recent weeks.
Who is Newcastle target Madueke?
Madueke is a 22-year-old winger who began his football journey in London with Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before joining PSV Eindhoven in 2018.
The England Under-21 international made a real name for himself in the Netherlands, prompting Chelsea to sign him in January 2023 for a reported £30million fee, as per BBC Sport.
Madueke has made 46 appearances for the Blues, including 34 last season, and has nine goals and three assists to date in all competitions for the west Londoners.
Saul Isaksson-Hurst, a coach who lists Madueke among his clients, spoke to the Daily Mail shortly after the player’s return to English football.
“He is one of the best, if not the best young forward player in Europe,” he said.
“He’s a really dynamic and exciting player and one who likes to take players on and create things. He’s box office and that’s what all supporters like to see.
“There’s an end product too so he’s exciting to watch and I’m sure Chelsea fans will enjoy having him at the club and seeing him scoring goals and providing assists.”
