Newcastle United host Crystal Palace at St James’ Park on Saturday in the Premier League and defender Fabian Schar should be recalled to the side.
The 27-year-old has been forced to miss the last two matches during to a suspension for the accumulation of 10 yellows cards, but is now back available for the Magpies.
Rafael Benitez’s side drew with Bournemouth and lost to Arsenal during his suspension, with his absence a notable factor.
The ball-playing centre-back has become a vital played for the North East club and looks a steal at the £3million (BBC) they paid for him last summer.
Providing he’s recovered fully from a concussion while away on international duty with Switzerland, it’s a no-brainer for Benitez to recall Schar to the team.
Schar slots in brilliantly on the right hand side of a back three for Newcastle and his range of passing often gets attacks started.
The no-nonsense enforcer needs a starting berth against Palace, but it will leave Benitez with a headache of how to leave out.
Paul Dummet may have to be the unfortunate individual to drop out from the XI, but the defence is the one area of the pitch that Newcastle are stacked with quality options.
