Newcastle United cannot allow Elias Sorensen to slip through their fingers.
It has emerged that the Danish youngster has turned down an offer of a new three-year contract from the club, after they offered him £1500-a-week.

The Sun are claiming that the striker, who has already scored an amazing 18 goals this season at youth level, wants £2500-a-week.
Sorensen’s current deal expires at the end of the season, meaning Newcastle would potentially lose him for nothing and be left wondering what might have been.
Newcastle are risking a grave mistake
Admittedly, Sorensen probably isn’t in much of a position to try and demand more money per week, despite having never featured for the first-team before.
But his form for the U23s really does speak for itself.

Sorensen is regarded as one of the club’s best prospects and would not be short of suitors if a new deal was not agreed.
Fans have been clamouring to see him feature for the first-team, especially when Rafa Benitez’s men were struggling to score goals earlier on in the season.
Sorensen’s current form and scary potential is surely worth the gamble of paying him a little bit more than they’d have initially wanted.

Benitez has resisted fast-tracking him thus far, and it would be a shame if the club lost him without ever getting a chance in the first-team.
What would hurt the fans the most would be to then see him go on and star for another club.
