Newcastle are now monitoring contract talks between Arsenal and Amario Cozier-Duberry ahead of a potential free transfer.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the situation involving Newcastle and Arsenal wonderkid Amario Cozier-Duberry? Let’s take a look…
Newcastle want Cozier-Duberry
Well – according to Romano – Newcastle and Wolves are keeping a close eye on negotiations between Arsenal and the England U19 international.
Arsenal are currently at risk of losing Cozier-Duberry this summer as he enters the final six months of his contract, with no agreement yet to take place between the Gunners and the 18-year-old.
As a result, Newcastle, Wolves, Ajax, Anderlecht and Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on the situation.
Romano wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Arsenal are still in negotiations to get new deal done for English 2005 born talent Amario Cozier-Duberry.
“Talks ongoing. Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Anderlecht, Wolves and Newcastle are showing interest for free transfer in June — in case talks with Arsenal collapse.”

The London-born prospect has enjoyed an impressive campaign for the Arsenal U21 side, netting seven goals while also providing two assists in 13 appearances so far this season.
Cozier-Duberry was even named on the bench by Mikel Arteta when Arsenal recorded a 2-0 win over Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League back in November.
Who is Arsenal wonderkid Cozier-Duberry?
For those mostly unaware of Cozier-Duberry’s talents, a comparison to a better known player may be of interest.
Incidentally, the teenager has actually been likened to Bukayo Saka.

It was the Evening Standard who claimed that Arsenal coaches internally compare Cozier-Duberry to the England international, who rose through the ranks at Hale End to become one of Europe’s best attackers.
Therefore, Arsenal will hope to see a fairytale end to contract negotiations with the winger – if not, Newcastle could be there to pounce.
