Newcastle are keeping tabs on ‘top talent’ who plays just like Angel Di Maria

Newcastle United have made a strange start to the new Premier League season in many ways.

Whilst results have been positive for the most part, the performances have been far from convincing and their sixth-place standing is certainly a little deceiving.

Eddie Howe’s men have a lot to work on and that’s stemmed from the underwhelming transfer window – missing out on a number of top targets including a right winger.

Now, TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Newcastle are keeping tabs on a winger on the continent.

Newcastle United keeping tabs on Dario Osorio

TBR Football understands there is a lot of interest in Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio.

Celtic and Rangers admire Osorio but more recently some Premier League clubs have been watching too.

Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Wolves and indeed Newcastle have all monitored his progress in Denmark.

We are told there is also interest from France and Spain.

Dario Osorio profile

Osorio, who’s been labelled a ‘top talent’ per Jacek Kulig’s scouting website, predominantly operates on the right wing, cutting in onto his favoured left foot.

The Chile international has netted 11 times whilst laying on three assists for Midtjylland since joining in 2023 from Club Universidad de Chile.

Osorio has been likened to Angel Di Maria so evidently if Newcastle were to land his signature, it’d be regarded as a real coup.
