Newcastle United reportedly want to sign Hull City dazzler Jarrod Bowen this summer, but he may need to adapt to a new role if he does move to St James’ Park.
According to the Chronicle, the Magpies are keen on the left-footed attacker and manager Steve Bruce wants to form a reunion after previously working with him at Hull.
The report details that the 22-year-old is expected to be available for transfer, but they will demand a fee of at least £10million.
Bowen was in stunning form last season in the Championship, where he scored 22 goals in 46 league games for a mid-table Hull side.
He would be an excellent addition for Newcastle, as he would add extra creativity in attack and is a youngster with so much potential.
But he may need a positional switch if he joins.

Bowen thrived as a right-winger last season for Hull, where he would often cause havoc cutting in onto his preferred left foot and shooting from range.
But Newcastle’s best system so far in pre-season has looked a 3-5-2 formation and it’s how they have found success in the last two seasons in the top-flight.
Bruce watched on from the sidelines in the recent pre-season win over West Ham, but he changed his team’s formation to a 3-5-2 to help secure a 1-0 win.
The Magpies can play to their strength at centre-back with a three-man defence, which also requires them to bring in wing-backs.
Bowen is a creative player certainly not cut out for wing-back, so it could leave him vying for a more central attacking position if he joins.
The Englishman is a skilful player that has an eye for goal and is a great dribbler, which is why moving him inside could only enhance his game.
