New Tottenham Hotspur signing Yves Bissouma sent a message to Heung-Min Son today as he posted a picture on Instagram.

Bissouma signed for Spurs last month after completing a £30 million switch from Brighton (BBC).

It seems the Mali international is already making friends at the club and in particular, Son.

And it’s no surprise the former Brighton man has befriended the South Korean as he is an ever-popular figure within the Spurs squad.

Bissouma sends photo to Son on Instagram

Bissouma posted a picture of himself on Instagram today and he was imitating Son’s trademark celebration.

The 25-year-old was pictured in Tottenham’s new away kit and tagged Son in the post, with the caption ‘Sonny’.

Son’s goal celebration is when the Spurs man often looks in the direction of the camera and pretends to take his own picture.

Bissouma is clearly a fan of the South Korean and his celebration, so much so that he decided to imitate Son as he posed in Spurs’ new kit.

Bissouma could be big for Spurs this season

The former Brighton man finally got a taste of pre-season action last weekend against Rangers as he was brought on for the second-half by boss Antonio Conte.

Bissouma missed Tottenham’s first two pre-season games, alongside fellow new signing Fraser Forster, as Football.London reported that the pair were both forced to fly home from Spurs’ South Korea tour after returning positive Covid-19 tests.

But he is back in training at Hotspur Way and looking to force his way into Conte’s midfield ahead of the Premier League season.

The Mali international was one of Brighton’s standout performers last season, making 28 appearances in all competitions under Graham Potter.

Bissouma will be competing for a starting role at Spurs with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Rodrigo Bentancur. But he could be key for Tottenham this season as he offers something a bit different for Conte.

The former Lille man is a brilliant ball-carrier from deeper positions in the midfield and is one of the best at breaking up play.

With a lot of games ahead for Spurs as they try to compete on all fronts, Bissouma could become a key player under Conte this season.
