Pundit Alan Shearer has now been reflecting on the performance of one Tottenham Hotspur player against Crystal Palace yesterday.
Although it proved to be a nervy afternoon for Ange Postecoglou and his Spurs side, three points were eventually secured, and in truth they were deserved as well.

Eberechi Eze’s strike was something of an anomaly in the context of the game, a rare Palace attack which looked as if it could prove costly from a Tottenham point of view.
But eventually the likes of Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner and Son Heung-min were able to inspire a much needed comeback.
A loss or even a draw would have been incredibly frustrating given the time Spurs had to prepare for the game, and also given their need to improve on the Wolverhampton Wanderers display.
All that being said, Alan Shearer was discussing Tottenham’s win over Palace on the BBC’s ‘Match of the Day’ last night.
Shearer was listening to fellow pundit Jermaine Jenas dish out heavy praise for Timo Werner after his first Spurs goal.
And whilst the pundit agreed about points regarding Werner’s excellent attitude, he did still harbour one concern.
Alan Shearer suggests Timo Werner will never be prolific at Tottenham after Palace display
After a few missed chances against Palace yesterday, Shearer didn’t think Werner has ever looked natural in front of goal in England.
He said: “I know his numbers were a lot bigger in terms of goals in Germany, then they are here but I love his attitude, but he never looks natural, never looks natural in front of goal.”

Of course, it is then interesting to compare Werner’s success in the Bundesliga to his time in the Premier League.
And to that end, the £15m-striker has 102 goals in 257 Bundesliga appearances in Germany.
But in comparison, the forward has just 11 goals in his 62 games in the Premier League.
There’s no doubt that Werner has simply become less prolific in general since his unsuccessful stint at Chelsea.
And although Shearer wasn’t convinced about Werner’s finishing against Palace yesterday, there’s no doubt he can still offer Tottenham a lot.
All that being said, Spurs captain Son Heung-min has now shared what he told Brennan Johnson before yesterday’s win.
