Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking about managing other teams today and had a strong word towards Arsenal.
Former Tottenham manager Pochettino is now in charge of Todd Boehly’s expensively assembled squad at Stamford Bridge. But of course, he is best known for his work with Spurs when he led them to the Champions League final.
Naturally, the link and feeling towards Spurs never goes away and when pressed on other clubs he has managed or would manager, Pochettino had a frank word for Arsenal.
Mauricio Pochettino insists he’d never manage Arsenal
Speaking in his press conference ahead of this weekend’s action, Pochettino got into the subject of club management.
“Clubs I’ll never manage was Arsenal because I considered them the worst enemy of Tottenham. It’s strange to come back because always the feeling after four years, it’s going to be a happy day but that is life and we need to move on. We are professional but at the same time we are human,” Pochettino said.
“We were talking about the four months we are working together and creating some links and maybe we spend five or six years together, if I’m sacked why are we going to forget our relationship? That is how we build our history.”

Of course, Arsenal fans are happy enough with their own boss, Mikel Arteta at the moment. But this little dig might just spark a few past flames in some fans.
The rivalry never leaves some people
Pochettino will endear himself further to the Tottenham fans with this comment here.
At the moment, Spurs are loving it under Ange Postecoglou but the majority have a place in their heart for Pochettino and what he achieved at the club.
Having a little dig at Arsenal is always going to go down well with Tottenham fans and while he might have ended up at Chelsea, it’s not quite the same.
Pochettino very nearly got one over on the Gunners a few weeks back and he’ll be looking to help Spurs beat the Gunners to top spot or the top four as the season goes on.
