Former Sheffield United manager and now boss of Middlesbrough, Neil Warnock, has slammed the Spurs squad for what he believes is getting Jose Mourinho the sack.
Mourinho was relieved of his duties at the start of the week. His sacking comes just days before he was due to lead Spurs out at Wembley and it denies him the chance to win yet another trophy.
A number of names are being touted about already. Brendan Rodgers, Julian Nagelsmann, and Maurizio Sarri, just three who have been mentioned in the last 24 hours.

But Warnock, who was speaking to BBC Teesside, believes the Spurs players need to look at themselves again.
“Once again the hierarchy are listening to the players, which is absolutely rubbish. Players will have got him the sack, and it doesn’t surprise me at all,” Warnock said.
“Unfortunately some owners just listen to the players. I’ve seen it in the past where disgruntled players deliberately say something because they know they won’t get a look in. It’s the modern world. Some owners listen all the time but some have got more common sense. Player power, call it what you want.”
Warnock’s rant continued as he then insisted he’d be backing only club in the final of the cup this weekend. He also commented on what he believed was an England international failing to put the effort in for Mourinho the last time he watched them.
TBR View: Warnock straight talking as ever and has a point
This group of Spurs players seem to get away scott free all the time. Countless times they have come up short and countless times it always seems to be someone elses fault.
Maybe, Warnock is right, and this group just isn’t made to be challenging right at the top. They’ve faltered this season even with the best striker in the world, and reports of their attitudes should worry Spurs supporters.
