Celtic boss Neil Lennon has been singing the praises of Australian midfielder Tom Rogic after he impressed on his return from injury.
Celtic thrashed Partick Thistle to book their place in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals last night with Rogic finding the net in the 5-0 triumph.
It was his first start of the season as he continues his recovery from an ongoing knee problem. The Australian did not fail to impress in his comeback appearance.
Rogic scored the second goal in the 5-0 win and also played the full 90 minutes in what was a huge boost for Celtic.
Speaking after the game, as reported by The World Game, Celtic boss Neil Lennon was glowing in his praise for the Australian international.
“Tom Rogic was brilliant. He’s got the bit between his teeth and he looks night and day compared to how he was last season.”
As if Celtic did not already have enough firepower in their team to get the better of their Scottish rivals this season, Rogic’s return to form and fitness will also be a major bonus.
When fit and firing he is one of the best players in the country and will no doubt play a key role if Celtic are to hold off any domestic challenge from their Old Firm rivals Rangers.
