A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Ezgjan Alioski’s goalscoring display for North Macedonia today.

The Whites winger was in the starting XI for his country’s Nations League encounter with Armenia in Skopje.

Alioski made no mistake from 12 yards, sending the opposition goalkeeper the wrong way with a neatly dispatched penalty.

As Macedonian Football noted, Alioski also netted from 12 yards against Armenia two years ago, making it back-to-back home games in which he has netted against the same nation.

The 28-year-old isn’t on penalty duties for Leeds and some fans following the game thought he should be given the opportunity:

North Macedonia ran out 2-1 winners over Armenia in a game with all goals coming from penalties, Ilija Nestorovski extending the hosts’ lead and Tigran Barseghyan grabbing a consolation in injury time.

Leeds, meanwhile, ran out 3-1 winners over Pacos de Ferreira in their last pre-season friendly before the Premier League gets underway next week.
