Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has enjoyed a wonderful start to the 2020-21 season, to put it mildly.
The 23-year-old is in incredible form at present, having registered nine goals – including two hat-tricks – from just six Toffees games this season.
Calvert-Lewin’s efforts have helped Everton to the top of the Premier League table and into the League Cup quarter-finals.

As if that wasn’t enough, the 6ft 2in sharpshooter was also called up to the England squad this week, was named in the starting XI against Wales, and scored on his debut.
Manchester City icon Shaun Goater has now urged his former club to put Calvert-Lewin on their shortlist, taking to Twitter and making his feelings clear on the talented forward.

And so it begins – as soon as a player enters the spotlight due to his superb efforts and statistics, the links with other clubs emerge, whether in the press or, as here, suggested by football figures who’d like to see their beloved clubs sign such players.
Everton have been sensational so far this season – not only are they top of the league table but have also seen off their opponents in the League Cup en route to the quarter-finals, and Calvert-Lewin has been a key part of this.
His goal tally as it stands is Ronaldo-esque, and while nobody expects him (or indeed 99.99 percent of footballers) to keep it up throughout a whole season, he’s shown what he’s capable of.
That said, Calvert-Lewin signed a new contract earlier this year to 2025, is playing under one of the best coaches in the world, and if Everton get within reach of silverware, and/or remain in the title picture into the new year, why would he want to leave?
