Nathan Redmond and Leon Bailey applaud Everton star on Instagram after win
Demarai Gray continued to prove the doubters wrong, scoring for Everton again – earning praise from Leon Bailey and Nathan Redmond.
Gray, 25, returned to the Premier League in the summer from Bayer Leverkusen after a tricky six months with the German side.
It followed a pretty frustrating spell at Leicester, in which he was given little game time by Brendan Rodgers. Everton got him for just £1.5million.
But it is an inspired move from Rafa Benitez. The England Under-21 ace has hit the ground running, finally showing what he is capable of.
He scored his third Premier League goal of the season on Monday as Everton won 3-1 against Burnley. Gray then posted on Instagram.
Gray shines for Everton: What have Redmond, Bailey and others said?
It was a brilliant second-half display from Everton. After a poor first half, Ben Mee opened the scoring for Burnley but that sparked Everton into life.
Andros Townsend was pivotal to Everton’s win. He provided a brilliant cross for Michael Keane to score, and then lashed home a 25-yard effort.
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s pass made it easy for Gray to net a third goal in three league games. But it is just what the ex-Birmingham man deserved.
He has always had the quality, the potential, the ability to produce magic. But he has not had the game time, or been with the right manager.
Now, at Everton, he has both game time and the manager. Redmond and Bailey applauded Gray, while Jude Bellingham commented some emojis.
