Napoli legend Salvatore Bagni has showered praise on Celtic defender Kieran Tierney, insisting he ‘has it all’.
The Scottish full-back has enjoyed another fine campaign at Parkhead, making 40 appearances in total so far.
That’s a respectable tally considering the injury struggles he’s had, and he’s now made 170 for the Celtic first-team and is still only 21.
Tierney is without doubt one of Scottish football’s most promising players, and former Italy international Bagni is a huge fan of the youngster.
He told The Sunday Post: “Having followed the player for years, I think Tierney would be a great buy for Napoli, and wouldn’t be surprised if a deal was to happen.
“Tierney would be perfect for their left side. He has it all. Great drive, pace, technique and high-quality delivery. For me, those assets would allow him to do well in Naples.”
Legend Bagni – who represented Napoli for four years between 1984-88 – also stated that Carlo Ancelotti likes attacking full-backs, and they don’t come much more offensive than Tierney.
There has been a fair amount of speculation over Tierney’s future.
Inter Milan have been credited with an interest, as have Arsenal (The Sun).
Celtic fans will surely be clinging to the idea that Tierney will want to stick around to be part of a possible 10 league titles in a row.
