Kosovo defender and new Napoli signing, Amir Rrahmani, has revealed he turned down an offer from Celtic this summer to move to Naples.
The 26-year-old moved to Napoli from Hellas Verona in January but has yet to make a big impression on proceedings for the Serie A giants.

However, despite rejecting the offer of a move to Celtic, Rrahmani is adamant he’s made the correct decision in signing for Napoli.
“Napoli have invested a lot in me. I had offers from Celtic and Standard Liege but in the end I chose to sign for Napoli. This is the most important step of my career,” he said. (Quotes via Goal)
“They had a strategy to sell Koulibaly but coronavirus changed the scenario. I’ve been told that I’m still an important member of the squad and that my time will come soon.”
Celtic ended up being ok in the centre-back department, moving to sign Shane Duffy – who has had a rocky start to life in Scotland – in the summer.

The Bhoys have also kept hold of Kristoffer Ajer despite a number of clubs being interested over the summer months.
Nothing lost here for Celtic – TBR View
This is more of a name drop from Rrahmani really and you could even suggest he might be trying to circulate his name a bit more given his struggles in Napoli.
Yes he says he can be an important member of the squad, but we’ve yet to see any evidence of that.
Celtic will be keeping an eye on the situation with Rrahmani and you never know, there might be scope for another move during the next few windows if the Bhoys see fit.
