Leeds United take on QPR this weekend and one man who will be hoping to gun down the whits is R’s striker Nahki Wells. The Bermudan international is, of course, a former Huddersfield Town player so is fully aware that Leeds fans will already not be a fan of his.
But his comments from last season, during the ‘Spygate’ saga also might make for interesting reading for Leeds United supporters.

Speaking to Football.London in January, the QPR striker suggested sympathy for Marcelo Bielsa amid the furore. However, he also made it clear that he felt Leeds had acted in an ‘unsportsmanlike’ manner.
“I can see from his (Marcelo Bielsa’s) point of view he’s trying to use every beneficial way to gain an advantage on his opposition but from Derby’s point of view it’s unsportsmanlike. I don’t know what’s right or wrong but I guess it’s just not good to see in football.
“But if he’s not broken any laws then how can you call it wrong?”
“But I haven’t heard of anyone doing that so it is a bit new for me.”
TBR’s View
Leeds United have certainly put the Spygate saga behind them but it is somewhat forgotten just how big a story that was,
Fans, pundits, coaches and players from all over the country had their say on the matter and Wells was perhaps one of the more measured of them all.
But given the slight edge to his comments and his Huddersfield connections, Wells can expect a salty reception at Elland Road this weekend.
