'A big fan': £40m player absolutely loves Arsenal's way of playing, amid reports he's about to sign in January
Arsenal are reportedly determined to sign Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk and the player himself is a big fan of the way the Gunners play.
It’s no secret that Mudryk is keen on the move to Arsenal. The winger is said to be more than open to signing for the club, where his good friend Oleksandr Zinchenko plays.
Reports in the media today have once again reinforced Arsenal’s interest in Mudryk. It was claimed this morning by The Athletic that Mudryk is now determined to sign for the Gunners. And adding more credence to that report, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that Mudryk loves how Arsenal play and that Arteta himself is convinced he can improve him.
Mudryk has been lauded over in the Ukraine as one of the best players the country has produced. Labelled the Ukrainian Neymar, there is certainly a lot of expectation on the winger.
Arteta’s thought process here on turning him into a more versatile player is an interesting one as well. The Gunners boss will likely see the potential in Mudryk and won’t want to simply confine him to just being a winger, per se.
TBR’s View: Mudryk to Arsenal surely gets done
If Arsenal do want Mudryk and they miss out now, then you’d have to say it’s a massive opportunity missed.
With all the noises coming from the player himself as well as the club said to be so keen on getting a new winger, you’d imagine this is Arsenal’s best chance yet at getting a deal done.
Mudryk is one fine player as well. It’s not like Arsenal are going for a squad player either. This is a player who makes an instant difference to proceedings. With Jacobs’ update here on top of all the other news, you’d have to say this deal is more likely than ever now.
