Viktor Gyokeres has been named as a target for both Arsenal and Chelsea as of late.
The Swedish striker has undergone a meteoric rise over the past 12 months. The attacker has gone from being a Championship striker to one of the most hotly-coveted hitmen in Europe after his move to Sporting.
Arsenal are said to be keen, while Chelsea were linked for a long time.
Gyokeres has been in remarkable form this season and a Premier League move beckons in the near future.
However, Sporting are steadfast that his £100m release clause is his valuation, and according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on The Done Deal Show, Chelsea have now decided that they will not be signing the former Coventry City man.

Chelsea decide against Gyokeres
Jacobs shared what he knows about the Arsenal target.
“I know there has been talk of Viktor Gyokeres who is doing incredibly well, but there’s a £100m release clause there and my understanding is that Chelsea have decided against that,” Jacobs said.
Not worth it
We like Gyokeres as a player, he’s got everything you’d want in a striker right now.
However, £100m is what you would pay for a truly elite striker, not someone who has had six good months in the Portuguese League.
With all due respect, Gyokeres has never played at the top level, he’s scored goals in the Championship and in Portugal, but that doesn’t always translate to Premier League stardom.
Yes, the likes of Luis Diaz and Bruno Fernandes have become stars in England after playing in Portugal, but, at the same time, the likes of Fabio Silva and Islam Slimani have really struggled to adapt.
Gyokeres may well be a brilliant player, but if you’re spending £100m on a striker you need someone who is guaranteed quality, and, as of yet, Gyokeres hasn’t proven that he’s at that level.
