‘My MOTM’, ‘absolutely unreal’: Some Everton fans blown away by £65k-a-week ace’s display v Wolves
A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to hail Michael Keane’s performance in Tuesday night’s Premier League victory as Carlo Ancelotti’s Toffees brought three points back to Goodison Park.
Everton ran out 2-1 winners at Wolves, taking the lead after just six minutes when Lucas Digne set up Alex Iwobi to fire home from 12 yards out, via a slight deflection from Conor Coady.

The hosts equalised in the 14th minute as Rayan Ait-Nouri surged down the left and fired the ball across for Ruben Neves to produce a composed finish on the volley.
Both sides battled hard as Everton went on to regain the lead on 77 minutes, Andre Gomes retrieving James Rodriguez’s deep corner and whipping the ball back in for Keane to head home.
The £65,000-a-week defender put in a typically steady and solid display at the back and capped it off with the winner, his fourth goal of the season in all competitions.
Here is what some Everton fans said on social media following Keane’s display:
Massive win for the Toffees that tonight. Grinding out a result against a tough Wolves side. Michael Keane standing out again who’s easily been one of our best players of the season

Michael Keane, has been absolutely unreal since Carlo has took charge. Looks a completely different player. Massive leader on the pitch! Winning us games too 👏🏻 pic.twitter.com/uDucD2ilrT

Michael Keane has been a colossus here in every sense. That goal. More successful accurate passes than anyone else on the pitch, more touches, more clearances. MOTM comfortably #EFC

Thought James, Iwobi, Godfrey and Mina were fantastic tonight but Michael Keane was my MOTM. The stick I’ve give that lad in the past was pathetic. Sorry lad 💙

Powerful, commanding and dominant. Everything a growing CB should be. Also great distribution

Up next for Everton, fourth in the table, is Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa.
