Spurs full-back Matt Doherty delivered an impressive display for the Republic of Ireland on Thursday night.
The 29-year-old has struggled for game time at Tottenham this season, but he remains a fixture for his nation.
Doherty has made just six competitive appearances for Spurs in 2020-21, with a mere 26 minutes of Premier League action.

However, the Irishman has played in all six games for his nation so far this term, including the World Cup qualifier with Portugal on Thursday.
Doherty, surprisingly wearing the No. 10 shirt at right wing-back, looked lively from the off, attempting to get behind the opposition defence.
He linked up well with Chiedozie Ogbene and Callum Robinson, and even found the back of the net late on, though a controversial refereeing call denied him what would’ve been a famous winner.
Despite that late disappointment, some fans loved what the Spurs man did in the 0-0 draw:
With the Republic’s qualifying hopes already over, Portugal need to beat Serbia to finish top of the group.
Stephen Kenny’s charges are next in action against Luxembourg on Sunday.
