Bayern Munich have had a bid accepted for Harry Kane, and a move looks closer than ever.

Kane’s switch to the German champions is closer than ever, and the big question is how much will Spurs be getting for their star man?

Bayern have been mucking about in terms of their opening offers for a little while now, but it looks as though they’re finally set to cough up some real cash.

Tottenham have accepted a bid, and according to Sky Sports’ Paul Gilmour, speaking on Sky Sports News, that offer is worth in excess of £100m.

Kane could stay

Gilmour shared what he knows about Kane.

“Tottenham have consistently said they’ve wanted £100m, this Bayern Munich deal with add-ons should take it to over that. We’re waiting on confirmation around that, but certainly my information is that the add-ons would take it to over £100m for someone with one year left on his contract,” Gilmour said.

Huge money

Regardless of how much Spurs fans love Kane, it’s hard to justify rejecting over £100m for a player with one year left on his contract.

£100m is still massive money in football these days, and if you had to choose between that fee and another 30-goal season from your striker, it’s a no-brainer.

Of course, it’s now down to Spurs to find a replacement for Kane if he does indeed end up leaving, but with £100m in the kitty, their job will be much easier than it would be in one year’s time with £0 recouped for Kane.

This is a huge moment for Tottenham, and they need to make sure they get everything spot on between now and the end of the transfer window.
