‘My guy’, ‘hope you’re ok’: Some Arsenal fans react to key man’s Twitter message

Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette has taken to Twitter with a positive message for his fans in wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, the Premier League, FA, EFL and WSL collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England with the intention of returning on 3 April, subject to medical advice and conditions at the time.

The pandemic has led to a number of drastic changes across the world as governments and associations look to contain the spread and battle the disease, with the UK government urging people to avoid “non-essential” travel and contact with others (BBC).

According to Sky Sports, officials from all 20 Premier League clubs will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to establish plans for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal sit ninth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 28 fixtures, having won their last three league games in a row.

Euro 2020 has already been postponed by one year until 2021, the decision made during an emergency video conference on Tuesday.
