'My god': Some Arsenal fans fear club 'will be relegated' if they sign target who wants to join
Arsenal target Aaron Ramsdale is reportedly considering handing in a transfer request to push for a move to the north London side.
According to the print edition of the Sunday Mirror (p73: 15/08), the 23-year-old England talent is contemplating asking Sheffield United to leave the club.
Ramsdale has been a target for Arsenal for most of the window. However, as reported by the Athletic, talks had all but collapsed between the Gunners and Sheffield United.
Indeed, with Bernd Leno’s future hanging in the balance, goalkeeper is slowly becoming an important position that Mikel Arteta will need to address in the near future.
However, the Sheffield United star has so far proven to be a highly unpopular target amongst Arsenal fans since being linked with the club.
The 23-year-old keeper has suffered back-to-back relegations with both AFC Bournemouth and Sheffield United in the Premier League. And although Ramsdale is an England international, Arsenal fans are fuming with the links.
Indeed, there was joy amongst supporters when news broke that talks had broken down between Arsenal and Sheffield United.
But now, fans on social media are raging that Ramsdaleis pushing to join the Arsenal.

As per the Athletic, Sheffield United want £35m for Ramsdale.
