'My favourite coach': Tottenham fans love what they saw Jose Mourinho do last night
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been unable to help but laugh at Jose Mourinho’s celebration after Roma’s last minute winner last night.
Mourinho had a rather turbulent relationship with Tottenham’s fans during his time in charge.
While there was times when the Spurs crowd really embraced the Portuguese manager, by the end of his time at the club – he seemingly had burned plenty of bridges.
There was plenty of Tottenham supporters who had grown fed up of the style of play which was on offer.
However, Mourinho’s celebrations last night even drew some praise from Tottenham fans.
When Roma scored in injury time to beat Sassuolo, Mourinho took off to join the celebrations.
It was like 2004 all over again, as he charged down the touchline to join his Roma players in a team bundle.
And Tottenham fans couldn’t help but laugh at the scene, with some wishing they had seen more blockbuster moments like this, when he was in charge in North London.
Tottenham have, of course, moved on from Mourinho now – with Nuno in charge.
Nuno has made a bright start to life at Spurs, although their 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend has seen them fall off the top of the Premier League table.
