West Ham finally completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder, Jesse Lingard, last night, with the England man arriving on loan.

Lingard had been linked with an Old Trafford exit all month but finally got his move with just days of the window to spare.

It means a reunion with David Moyes for Lingard and he’ll be hoping to reboot his career somewhat, after falling down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Although the Man United boss has insisted Lingard has a long-term future in Manchester.

West Ham fans and David Moyes were both delighted with the signing. And, such is the norm in modern football now, a number of current and ex-pros were also quick to take to social media to wish Lingard luck at the Hammers.

Lingard’s Instagram page was full of replies. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Danny Welbeck, and former United teammate, Ravel Morrison, all taking time out to comment.
