'Move on to Bissouma already': Some Arsenal fans urge club 'leave' target 'alone' after update
Arsenal face strong competition for the signing of Manuel Locatelli as Juventus have now increased their offer for the midfielder.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady have raised their bid for the Italy Euro 2020 star.
However, the report states that Arsenal’s offer is more attractive to Sassuolo, with the Gunners willing to pay the fee for the 23-year-old playmaker this season.
Moreover, Arsenal are likely to sign a midfielder this summer. According to Goal, Matteo Guendouzi will sign for Marseille this week. Whereas Fabrizio Romano reports that Granit Xhaka is expected to leave for AS Roma.
Locatelli has been one of Italy’s star performers this summer and has drawn interest from multiple clubs. However, many reports indicate that the Sassuolo star is keen to move to Juventus this summer.
This, coupled with the Italian side’s increased offer for Locatelli, has some Arsenal fans on social media thinking the club should pull out of the deal.
Indeed, the midfielder is eager to move to the Serie A giants, and Arsenal supporters believe the Gunners are fighting a losing battle with Juventus for the signing of Locatelli.
