Moussa Sissoko has raved about the potential of Tottenham teammate Harry Winks and he’s hit the nail on the head.
Mauricio Pochettino is currently blessed with a number of quality options in the centre of the park and midfielder Winks is a key part of the first team.
The 22-year-old has developed into a senior player from the academy and is renowned for his brilliant range of passing, something that he’s display in the England national team too.
Sissoko has explained the huge potential of Winks having trained and played alongside him in North London.
“He is a very good player who reminds me of Steven Gerrard. I think he has the same profile,” Sissoko told French outlet Foot Mercato.
“He is the young player of the club that will explode in the years to come.”
Winks does have all the tools to be a top-class operator for Spurs over the next decade if he can continue to develop and stay clear of serious injuries.
He is a technically gifted ace that has shown on the European and international stage he can mix it with the best, but it’s just a case of doing that over a long period of time.
The pass master works as a brilliant pivot at the base of Spurs’ midfield and Sissoko isn’t the first of his teammates to rave about him.
