Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored for Tottenham against Leeds on Sunday afternoon and the Dane has earned Instagram praise from Moussa Sissoko.
Hojbjerg was a doubt coming into the match having missed both Denmark game during the international break- including a 2-0 loss to Scotland.
But he started and finished the match in midfield alongside Harry Winks, with Oliver Skipp missing the match due to one-match suspension.
While Leeds dominated the first 45, it was Spurs who came roaring back into the game in the second. Hojbjerg got the all-important equaliser.
It is now the ex-Southampton man’s third goal of the season, timing his run to perfection and finishing well – even if he wanted to strike it better.
The £102k-a-week (Spotrac) Tottenham man posted on Instagram after the match – telling Spurs fans that they can “achieve great things”.
Sissoko praises Hojbjerg: Tottenham must not get carried away
While it is another three points for Tottenham, a sixth league win of the season – one that sees them climb to seventh – they must not get excited.
The work still needs to be done. Leeds dominated the first half, despite a whole host of Leeds stars being sidelined with injuries.
Robin Koch, Luke Ayling, Rodrigo, Raphinha, Patrick Bamford and more were injured for the trip to London. It was not perfect from Spurs.
Plenty more hard work needs to be done, but it sees Conte remain unbeaten from three – with two wins. Sissoko praised Hojbjerg, replying to his post.
