Moussa Dembele has congratulated namesake and Celtic youngster Karamoko Dembele on Instagram after the teenage wonderkid helped his side win the Glasgow Cup against Rangers.
Dembele is still held in high regard by Celtic fans despite leaving the club last summer for a whopping £19.7million, joining French side Lyon where he has since scored 17 goals in 41 outings – as well as adding six assists.
Karamoko Dembele, who only turned 16 in February, helped the Hoops beat Old Firm rivals Rangers 3-2 – as a 95th-minute winner from centre-back Robbie Deas slammed home a half volley.
The Celtic teen posted on Instagram after the match, pictured with the trophy and captioning the upload “Champions”. Lyon striker Dembele replied, congratulating the youngster. Youssouf Mulumbu also commented.

TBR’s view
Will Karamoko get into the Celtic first team in the near future? His performances in both recent cup finals for the Celtic second string would suggest he has got some way to go.
Still only 16 years of age, the playmaker has plenty of time on his side. Although he did not look out of place, the pocket-sized dynamo struggled to have an enormous impact on both matches.
Yes, Dembele has an enormous future. But perhaps the hype surrounding the 16-year-old may have to subside before he finally finds his feet.
