Celtic skipper Scott Brown and former Hoops striker Moussa Dembele have taken to social media to poke fun at Old Firm rivals Rangers, after Sunday saw the Scottish champions win 2-1.
Goals from Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest was enough to earn all three points for Neil Lennon’s side, cancelling out Ryan Kent’s equaliser. Referee Bobby Madden had his work cut out throughout the match.
Indeed, Alfredo Morelos was sent off in the first half for elbowing Celtic captain Brown. The latter was also involved in incidents with Ryan Kent and Andy Halliday. The Hoops now sit 13 points clear.
Brown posted pictures of his altercations with Morelos and Halliday, while Dembele quoted the full-time Tweet and congratulated his former teammates – claiming it was business “as usual”.
TBR’s view
Celtic had to ride their luck at times and the question still remains – will Neil Lennon get the job on a full-time basis.
Ignoring the fact it was an Old Firm derby, Celtic struggled to beat a side that had failed to win in their previous four outings. Even against 10 men, Celtic failed to carve open chances.
Allowing Rangers to score at Parkhead despite being a man down will be concerning for Lennon, who was looking for an emphatic win to boost his chances of winning the title.
