‘MOTM still surely?’: Arsenal fans praise Aaron Ramsdale despite Liverpool defeat

Arsenal were brought back down to earth with a huge bump as Liverpool overran them at Anfield this evening in the Premier League.

The Reds were never really troubled and once they got the opener through Sadio Mane, the floodgates well and truly opened. Diogo Jota got a second, while Mo Salah and then Takumi Minamino – with his first touch – scored to put the seal on another fine win.

For Arsenal, it was a case of being outclassed by a better team. Mikel Arteta will have learnt a lot in defeat, and will be expecting his team to bounce back.

However, despite the heavy loss, there was some sympathy on social media for Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale. The stopper was unlucky and couldn’t do anything about any of the goals. But he did pull off some fine saves, and in a way, ensured it was only 4-0.
