Everton put their FA Cup loss to Millwall behind them tonight with a 1-0 win at relegation strugglers Huddersfield Town.
An early goal from Richarlison did the trick for the Toffees and Everton held on for the victory.
There were plenty of good performances. Leighton Baines looked great on his return before an injury and Richarlison scored again. Lucas Digne was sent off in another poor display and Idrissa Gana Gueye was left out with PSG looming. So it was a game of ups and downs.
On the upside however was the performance of Jordan Pickford.
Ever since his Anfield howler, there have been some question marks surrounding the England number one. He would probably admit himself that he has not been at his best recently.

However, he certainly was tonight.
Pickford put on a fine display against the West Yorkshire side. He made a number of decent saves, including an incredible one from an Aaron Mooy free-kick.
The goalkeeper is, undoubtedly a top talent but his confidence has appeared shot recently. This excellent display will hopefully give him that back and have Pickford back to his best long-term for Everton.
