England produced a stunning first-half performance in Seville to defeat Spain 3-2 in their UEFA Nations League clash.
Two goals from Raheem Sterling and one from Marcus Rashford had England 3-0 up at half-time. The second-half proved more difficult, with a Paco Alcacer and a last-second goal from Sergio Ramos almost bringing Spain level.
It was certainly an interesting game for Jordan Pickford. Many of the headlines will focus on his near error. Whilst trying to take on Spanish striker Rodrigo, he found himself dispossesed. He then battled back to tackle the Spanish striker, but some felt it should have been a penalty.
He also looked shaky at times when dealing with crosses but, all in all, put in a solid display and could do little with both goals.

The real story should be about his tremendous contribution to England’s devastating counter-attack. The two opening goals came from the Everton keeper’s incredible distribution in the first-half, which simply separates him from the rest when it comes to the England goalkeepers on offer.
Everton fans were pleased with his display. Many feel he got too much stick for his display on commentary and took to Twitter to back their number one…
