Tottenham Hotspur have done well in the January transfer window so far and they don’t seem to be done yet.

Spurs have been heavily linked with Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa and discussions over his signature seem to be heading in the right direction.

Alex Crook has now provided an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of the Norwegian attacker amid interest from London rivals West Ham United.

The talkSPORT journalist, writing on GiveMeSport, says Spurs are the “most advanced” in negotiations over Nusa.

West Ham are also keen, but they’ve just been keeping tabs on him as opposed to moving for him, suggested Crook.

“I was told this morning that one’s advancing, although West Ham have also checked on him,” wrote Crook. “But it’s the most advanced with Tottenham.

“I’m not sure he’s a player who will come in and tear up any trees straightaway, but this is quite a sensible signing for the future.”

Tottenham Hotspur making good progress towards signing Antonio Nusa

Nusa is one of the best young attacking talents in European football at present and it’s no surprise that Spurs are trying to sign him.

At just 18 years of age, Nusa already has 63 competitive Brugge outings and four Norway caps under his belt.

He’s a rising star who has the tools to potentially become a superstar. And understandably, Brugge seem eager to get as much as they can for their asset.

Sacha Tavolieri recently claimed on X that the Belgian giants want to sell Nusa for more than what they received from AC Milan for Charles De Ketelaere (£30million).

Let’s see what happens in the coming days. The likelihood is Nusa will go on Tottenham’s books but stay on loan at Brugge for the rest of the season, which is a win-win situation for everybody.
