Aston Villa have been going from strength to strength ever since Unai Emery took the reins at Villa Park.
The Villans not only qualified for the 2024/25 Champions League campaign, but they’ve also made it through to the last 16 automatically.
Aston Villa have had plenty of success stories on the pitch, and Morgan Rogers is arguably the biggest success story they’ve had over the past 12 months.
The Villans paid Middlesbrough around £15million to sign Rogers, who has become one of the team’s most dangerous players.
Rogers has now spoken about what Emery is really like as a manager behind the scenes at Bodymoor Heath.

Morgan Rogers says Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is ‘so demanding’ yet ‘so positive’
Morgan Rogers, speaking to Sky Sports, said Unai Emery is always “so positive”, which he acknowledges “might not always come across that way”.
The England international also stated that Emery is the “perfect” manager for him and hoped to work with the Spaniard for a long time.
“He’s so demanding,” began Rogers.
“Any little thing he’ll be on you for and the way he is, the detail he goes into, how much he loves the game, how much he wants to win, it rubs off on us.
“That’s what he wants us to do, we’re a product of him and the way he is.
“Every day I’m learning whether I think I am or I’m not, whether it’s psychologically or how I think about the game.
“He’s improved me in so many different areas, but mainly about my mindset, about carrying on and doing what I’m good at, even if it doesn’t work and just to keep going.
“He’s so positive. He might not always come across that way in the way he is, but he always wants the best for everyone and the team.
“And ultimately, if you know that and you buy into it, you’re going to get results. There’s no way you don’t.
“He’s such a good manager and a perfect person for me to get that next push. The good thing about him is because I’ve done well, he’s not going to stop me.
“He’s probably going to go even harder on me in terms of trying to get me to be better, so I’m looking forward to carrying on working with him for many years to come.”
‘The only reason’ why Manchester City actually sold Morgan Rogers
Rogers is one of numerous players Manchester City has sold in recent years that has gone on to become a star at the highest level.
In December, Rogers haunted his former club with a masterclass in Villa’s 2-1 victory against the reigning Premier League champions.
After the game, Pep Guardiola revealed why Man City sold Rogers, a decision which looks especially poor in hindsight.
He said: “Do you know what happened? There are some teams that won the treble, won the quadruple [four trophies in a season in 2019], sometimes its the right tempo, its the right time, can give the chance.
“Everybody knows how good Morgan is and a lot of players who are loaned or sold by the club they were at that age where we have the players that we had to allow us to create the more successful eight years at our club.
“In that moment, when they arrive, they are two or three years younger and in that moment, they are Kevin [De Bruyne] in their prime and David Silva and Bernardo [Silva] and Riyad [Mahrez] and Leroy [Sane] and Raheem [Sterling] and sometimes, it’s difficult and it’s the only reason why.”
