Morgan Rogers says Chelsea have a player who’s way better than people think

Morgan Rogers is one of the best young players in England.

Indeed, Rogers has just won the PFA Young Player of the Year award, and his good performances have caught the eyes of some of the Premier League’s big boys.

Rogers has been linked to Chelsea recently, and, interestingly, he’s now made a claim about one of the Blues’ most important players.

Indeed, speaking to Sky Sports, Morgan Rogers was asked which player in the England camp he’s been most surprised by, and he reserved some special praise for Reece James.

Rogers says that people don’t realise just how good James is, claiming that he has absolutely everything.

Reece James is a scary player

Rogers spoke about James and how good he is.

The Aston Villa star had nothing but good things to say about the defender, claiming that in England training he is simply unreal.

“I’ve said this before and I’m going to say it again, Reece James was the one for me,” Rogers said.

“Not that I thought he wasn’t good, because he’s won the Champions League, and he’d been in Chelsea’s team for ages.

“You don’t quite realise when you go and train how he’s got absolutely everything in his game.

“I know he’s been unfortunate with injuries and had a tough time but the fact you can see him fit and see how good he is, it’s honestly scary.”

Morgan Rogers loves another Chelsea player

Rogers had good things to say about James, and he’s not the only Chelsea player he’s a big fan of.

Indeed, on a personal level, Rogers is really good friends with Cole Palmer, as he noted in 2023.

“He’s one of my closest friends, not just in football but in life generally. So to see him doing so well, couldn’t be more proud of him really,” Rogers said.

“I think he’s now showing everyone what I and a lot of people knew he could do two or three years ago and now everyone can see it.”

Palmer and Rogers are two top talents, and who knows? Maybe one day they could unite at club level if Chelsea continue to pursue the young star.
