Wolverhampton Wanderers’ starlet Morgan Gibbs-White was one of many left amazed as Paul Scholes wowed during Vincent Kompany’s testimonial match.
Current and former stars took part in a match at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday to pay tribute to the 32-year-old, who left Manchester City after 11 years this summer.
A team of Manchester City Legends took on a Premier League Allstars XI, with the game finishing 2-2.

Goals came from Martin Petrov, Robbie Keane, Robin van Persie and Benjani, but Manchester United legend Scholes stole the show with some brilliant passing in midfield.
The 44-year-old showed he’s still got it, and at one point produced a sublime flicked pass with the outside of his boot in the second half.
That moment has gone viral on social media, with Wolves youngster Gibbs-White blown away.
He wrote simply on Twitter ‘My idol’, with an accompanying heart-eyes emoji.
TBR’s view
Gibbs-White couldn’t really be looking up to anyone better in order to improve his own game.

Scholes was a world-class talent during his playing days and is one of the most intelligent footballers the game has really ever seen.
Gibbs-White’s career is still very much in its infancy, but his development will benefit massively the more he watches footage of Scholes and the way he used to control games in his prime.
