Morgan Gibbs-White has praised his Wolverhampton Wanderers teammate Joao Moutinho and believes he’s a special talent.
Moutinho, 32, has made a brilliant start to the new campaign at Molineux and has been a real success since he joined at the beginning of last season.
The Portuguese midfielder has played 10 times across all competitions this season and already chipped in with five assists.
He’s a regular in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and is going to be a key player during the club’s efforts in the Europa League group stages.
Moutinho is such an experienced player with 115 international senior caps for Portugal and he’s going from strength to strength at Wolves.
Gibbs-White, 19, is a Wolves first teamer that is currently stuck behind Moutinho in the pecking order and he has raved about him.
“Joao (Moutinho) is frightening; just the way he is physically, the experience he brings to a game. He can come onto a pitch and control the game just by delaying or moving the ball. He’s excellent at the things he does,” Gibbs-White said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Wolves are extremely fortunate to have Moutinho on their books and the veteran midfielder is definitely underrated in the Premier League.
He’s the perfect mentor for Ruben Neves in the centre of the park, while rising stars such as Gibbs-White will be able to learn so much from him too.
Moutinho always appears to have extra time on the ball and he makes a decent contribution offensively when he drives forward.
His ability to pick a pass means that forwards like Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez know they will always get quality service.
